Regardless of law, marriage has only one definition, and any government that attempts to change it is my mortal enemy. I will act to destroy that government and bring it down, so it can be replaced with a government that will respect and support marriage, and help me raise my children in a society where they will expect to marry in their turn. Biological imperatives trump laws. American government cannot fight against marriage and hope to endure. If the Constitution is defined in such a way as to destroy the privileged position of marriage, it is that insane Constitution, not marriage, that will die.Dammit, I'm in the middle of a six-book series by Card! Guess I'll have to buy used copies of the remainder of the series, to keep the money out of his hands, or download them on BitTorrent. What an asshole!

Somebody Remind Me To Never Buy A Book By Orson Scott Card Ever Again
Seems that science fiction author Orson Scott Card is a nominee for the 2008 Malkin Award, given by the Atlantic's Andrew Sullivan. The award, "named after blogger, Michelle Malkin - is for shrill, hyperbolic, divisive and intemperate right-wing rhetoric. Ann Coulter is ineligible - to give others a chance." Pretty awesome. Card earned his nomination with a hateful diatribe in--where else?--the Mormon Times:
