"The Representative From Mars"
(Or, Michele Bachmann Is A Stupid & Crazy Bitch, Part #1,977 in a continuing series)

One of my favorite punching bags, Michele Bachmann, is at it again. This time, she's determined--all on her own, apparently--that carbon dioxide "is a natural product of nature" (what would be an unnatural product of nature, one wonders?), and that "it (carbon dioxide) isn't a harmful gas." Takes a gasbag like her to know, huh?

The fun starts around 1:25; I love Keith Olbermann's expression and comments after her segment, beginning at 2:22:

OMG, what is it going to take to get this woman out of Congress? Isn't there some clause in the Constitution that requires representatives to have intelligence levels above that of houseplants? Between Bachmann and Norm Coleman, the rest of the country has to wonder what kind of idiots we're breeding here in Minnesota. Well, at least she's responsible for a great deal of money being donated to the Democratic party!

Reagan tried that pitch about carbon dioxide in the 80's. He got it confused with carbon monoxide. Apparently she's not a student of even modern history.

What's next for the congresswoman- mustard as a vegetable?
